So, one of the issues is that one faces when going across seas is that other countries use different plug-ins than we do. For example, Korean power sockets
are shaped differently and give off a ton more power. No biggie, I just needed a couple converters because my razer and computer can handle the extra voltage.
And glory be, so can my DS (as it is region free).....however.....my DS' power cord is 100% American and would likely blow up if that much power was put
into it. That means I need a legit adapter, but I'm too lazy to get one.
So last night I figured "Well, I can't play on my DS, but I have pleanty of batteries for my Gameboy Color." So I started playing one of my games, saving along the way and whatnot. I get up this morning only to find out the cartrige is corrupted and I can't play saved games. Mildly miffed, I decided to try the other games from the same line (I was playing Pokemon Crystal, so I tried Gold and Silver) and alas, they're both corrupted too. Oddly enough Red, Blue, and Yellow work fine despite being a fair bit older and a far bit more beat up. But I don't want to play the original games because the color is shit on them and I've played like a million billion times.
Needless to say, I think I'm gonna go into Seoul today to "Techno-Mart" (I can't make these names up) and get myself a legit adapter for the DS.
Ever had that happen to you? Erge to play a game sets in only to be foiled by corrupt stuff?
